Partnering with anchor institutions to stabilize the local community

In 2011, The Detroit Medical Center, Henry Ford Health System and Wayne State University worked in partnership with U3 Ventures, the Hudson-Webber Foundation and Midtown Detroit, Inc. to develop and implement an anchor strategy that engages anchor institutions to have a greater impact in the Woodward Corridor. The Anchor Strategy focuses on a three-tier approach in the areas of local Living, Hiring, and Buying.
